Set up Labuan company
Bona Trust Corporation provides services for the establishment of a Labuan company and secretarial services.
The procedure for set up a Labuan company is as follows: –

|◇ Original documents are sent by post.||・We will send you a scanned copy of the original documents by post and check that they are complete. If there are no problems, please send them to us by post.|
|◇ Application for corporate registration||・We apply for registration with the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA).|
|◇ Completion of company registration||・The company is registered and the articles of association and other documents are delivered to you by e-mail as an electronic file.|

Company name: The name of the company should be written after the company name, e.g. “Inc.”, “Co., Ltd.”, “Corporation” or other formal name. The company will be registered as entered here.
Capital: USD 30,000-50,000 or more if possible. In theory, you can register with as little as USD 1, but if you are applying for a work permit, it is better to set it at a minimum of one to 2 years’ worth of your own salary (the monthly legal salary is RM10,000). The capital should be deposited in the relevant account after opening a corporate bank account.
Witnesses: Witnesses can be anyone aged 18 or over. Please provide the information (first and last name in English, passport number and address) and signature of a third party who is not a relative and who will sign the form.
* The origin of the company name must be stated, it is required for the reservation of the company name.
2. Certified copies of passports of directors and shareholders * 1 each
Print the passport photo page of the person to be appointed as director/shareholder and have it notarially certified at a notary public’s office. If you are applying for a work permit, please print a passport photocopy of the entire passport, including not only the photo page but also the cover page and all blank pages, and have it notarised together with the original passport at the notary public.
3. Reference letters of directors and shareholders * 2 each
Please obtain a total of 2 reference letters from lawyers, accountants, tax accountants and other work-related people you know, as well as bankers. You may use an open-ended format with the name of the firm or individual to whom you are referring, their telephone number, email address, URL and qualification number.
In addition, reference letters should be addressed as follows: –

4. Proof of address of director/shareholder * 1 each
Please prepare water and utility bills, mobile phone bills, etc. with your residential address on them. If a translation into English is required, we can also provide a translator for an additional fee. An English bank statement is also useful as proof of address (the balance can be hidden, as long as the address is shown).
Once you have the above documents, please email scanned data to us before sending the originals by post.
Based on the information received, we will prepare the articles of association and documents for the appointment of directors.

It will be sent to you by email and once received, please print it out and sign it.
Please enclose the signed document and other necessary documents, such as a copy of your passport, and send them to us by post.
Please make sure to send us the scanned data in PDF format so that we can make a final check to ensure that the above has been filled in. If there are no problems, please send the scanned data in PDF format together with the supporting documents and provide us with your tracking number.
As soon as we receive the original documents, we apply for registration, which generally takes about 1 week.
